Field checks for electrical access
- De-energize and verify the work area before cutting.
- Identify cables, boxes, and nearby framing inside the cavity.
- Measure the narrowest unobstructed opening.
- Use the exact product instructions for placement and retention.
Do not size from the face alone
Nominal dimensions identify the product. They do not guarantee a cutout, fit tolerance, or clearance around concealed services.
Keep the next visit practical
Place the panel where the concealed component can actually be inspected, adjusted, or removed. Avoid using the opening only as a visual cover if the service task requires more reach.
