Do not size from the face alone
Nominal dimensions identify the product. They do not guarantee a cutout, fit tolerance, or clearance around concealed services.
Keep the next visit practical
Place the panel where the concealed component can actually be inspected, adjusted, or removed. Avoid using the opening only as a visual cover if the service task requires more reach.
