Round panel installation

How to plan a round access panel opening

A 5-inch nominal round face is not a substitute for the exact cutout and clearance specification.

Check whether a round opening serves the task

A compact round panel can suit focused inspection or service points. Confirm that the opening provides practical access to the concealed component before selecting it.

Installation planning sequence

  1. Confirm the service point. Make sure a compact round opening provides enough access for the intended inspection or service task.
  2. Measure in two directions. Record the narrowest usable diameter and note any obstructions behind the finish.
  3. Check the cavity. Locate wiring, pipes, framing, and ceiling or wall components before marking.
  4. Verify the model. Use the current RenoEZ round-panel specification rather than assuming the nominal face size is the cutout.
  5. Mark and prepare. Mark the confirmed circle carefully and prepare the opening without damaging concealed services.
  6. Install and test. Seat the adjustable retention as directed and confirm the panel remains removable for future service.

Nominal size is not the cutout

The RenoEZ product is described by a 5-inch nominal round size. Confirm the exact opening requirement before cutting a wall or ceiling surface.

Choose the panel after the opening is confirmed.
